If you're looking for an opportunity to grow professionally and technically, then Ross Pest and Lawn may be the place for you. We are a full-service pest control company and service residential and commercial customers throughout Parker and Tarrant Counties.

As a Pest and Lawn Technician, you will be able to service all structural pests, but can also become a specialist in termite, weeds, and/or lawn and ornamental services. Specialist services have higher pay and greater opportunity for advancement. A current license is preferred, but we are willing to train so that a license can be obtained. Our Pest and Lawn Technicians perform the following:

1. Operate and maintain vehicle and pest control equipment, including truck, powered spray rig, powered duster, hand tools, and push spreader.

2. Use personal protective equipment – e.g. gloves, dust mask, respirator, safety glasses, coveralls, etc.

3. Identify target pests, lawn diseases and treatment options.

4. Recordkeeping and reporting.

5. Utilize scheduling software.

6. Sell as-needed services to existing, new, and potential clients. You are not required to make sales, but you should be able to effectively communicate our services to all customers.

7. Complete licensing training and continuing education requirements.

8. Additional routine and non-routine tasks necessary to support the company business.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Posess current TDA license in pest control, weed control and/or lawn & ornamental. (preferred)
  • Desire to perform quality work with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and time management.
  • Reflect professional appearance.
  • Demonstrate high moral character, integrity, and personal responsibility.
  • Give attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated/eager to learn.
  • Take personal responsibility for your work and our equipment.
  • Have 1-3 years experience in lawn maintenance and/or pest control. (preferred)
  • Good physical condition, e.g. able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors.
  • Have a high school diploma.
  • Carry a valid driver's license.
  • Have a clean driving record, criminal background, and drug test.

Desired Skills Include:

  • Degree or continuing education in horticulture, turf management, or related field.
  • Ability to maintain and repair pest control equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift Monday to Friday with some overtime
  • Weekends as needed
