Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new business based on agency qualified client criteria
  • Foster networks, centers of influence, and connections to generate leads
  • Facilitate entire life cycle process of prospect to client closure
  • Maintain client relationships encouraging retention and cross-selling
Detailed duties:
  • Develop and maintain prospect pipeline
  • Maintain accurate CRM database
  • Immediately follow up on referrals
  • Cultivate referral sources through community and networks
  • Make adequate prospecting calls to support short term and long term growth goals
  • Qualify prospects for insurability and quality of risk
  • Gather prospects information in order to market insurance coverage
  • Prepare coverage analysis and pre-underwriting to support Account Manager
  • Work with Account Managers to market and prepare proposal
  • Arrange proposal meeting and ensure all proposal documentation is accurate and complete
  • Follow up for collection of all signatures and premium payments
  • Provide ongoing risk management guidance to clients
  • Work with Account Manager (Account Executive) to support client’s daily service needs
  • Stay connected to clients based on agency service standards (segmentation) to promote retention
  • Continually acquire and maintain market and coverage knowledge and trends
  • Review book of business at regular intervals to evaluate retention, service needs, loss analysis and identify trends
  • Participate in sales meetings
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience cold calling and getting appointment preferred.
  • College education or equivalent business experience
  • Knowledge or experience with a CRM database is preferred
  • Ability to communicate and understand orally and in writing with others to explain complex or abstract issues, receive and interpret complex information and respond appropriately.
  • Comfortable with technology, including computers, AI, CRMs, Social Media, etc.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, follow up with others in a timely fashion, and meet or exceed goals.
  • Texas Property & Casualty license preferred - will consider onboarding and getting the right person licensed.  They would have to show a propensity for sales and have the drive and energy to succeed.
