ALEDO SUMMER BLAST (formerly “First Friday”)
First Friday in June from 6-9 p.m.

Welcome summertime with fun for the whole family, starting at 6:00 p.m.!  Lots of free activities hosted by the City of Aledo and the Aledo Economic Development Corp., featuring: Live music by “Southern Heritage”; Classic car show by Parker County Cruisers; Jumbo petting zoo; Photo booth camper; Inflatable obstacle course and bounce house; Mechanical Bull rides; and, WATER SLIDES!  
 
Shopping opportunities and giveaways by  local crafters, businesses and organizations.  Food trucks on site with summertime treats: “Shep’s Place” hamburgers and dinner fare; “Julie Beans Ice Cream” frozen novelties; “Gypsy Scoops” homemade ice cream & snow cones; and, Miss Piggy’s concessions including corn dogs and summer treats.  First Financial Bank in Aledo will be on site with the “Wienie Wagon”, exchanging hot dogs for donations to benefit the Aledo Lions Club and Aledo Children’s Advocats.    
 
Though the festivities are over at 9:00 p.m., the FIREWORKS SHOW begins after dark!  Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket, find a spot, grab an ice cream, funnel cake, or fresh lemonade, and enjoy the show!
