The Weatherford College Summer Stage presents
The Taming of the Shrew is a Shakespearean comedy about Petruchio’s courtship of Katherina (Kate), a headstrong woman considered a "shrew." Petruchio uses psychological tricks to "tame" her into a submissive wife, while a subplot follows the wooing of her sister, Bianca, by various suitors.
The play explores gender, social hierarchy, and marriage, ending with a wager where Kate proves to be the most obedient wife.
