Parker Paws presents Free Spay/Neuter Clinic

Parker Paws is coordinating this spay/neuter clinic to help prevent unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. We are targeting an area (north side of Weatherford) which has been identified as having a need for such services. To our knowledge, this is the first time this area has been provided with a free day of spay/neuters. Our goal is to provide approximately 50 surgeries. Space is limited by the physical configuration of the Hope Mobile. This is for personal pets only - no rescue groups, no feral cats. The Spay Neuter Network will be bringing the Hope Mobile to Weatherford for a one-day clinic. Services by appointment only, the Spay Neuter Network will schedule all appointments. A $20 deposit is required (and will be refunded on the day of the clinic). The appointment includes the spay/neuter surgery and rabies vaccination. Other vaccinations and microchipping will be available at an additional charge. That is for those having surgery. There will not be a low-cost vaccination clinic for the public. The Spay Neuter Network will staff the Hope Mobile, providing intake/discharge and all services. Services will be performed by licensed vet. You can learn more about the Spay Neuter Network by visiting their website: http://www.spayneuternet.org/ The clinic will be on Monday, March 30. It will be located in the parking lot across the street from Northside Baptist Church (910 N. Main Street, Weatherford, Texas). Limitations: no pets over 7 years of age. Cats must be brought in carriers. For dogs 5-7 years old, they will perform a heartworm test and discuss with the owner the surgery if heartworm positive. No dogs over 80 pounds. They can take up to 18 dogs over 40 pounds. This is based on the number and size of their kennels. This clinic date is being funded by Saving Hope Foundation. This is the first clinic for the Hope Mobile in Parker County. If all goes well, and if we can get funding, our intention is to establish more clinic dates this year.
