Chick-fil-A to officially break ground for Hudson Oaks restaurant on Oct. 12;
Free-standing Hudson Oaks Drive location continues chain?s DFW expansion
HUDSON OAKS, Texas (Oct. 12, 2017) ? Chick-fil-A will break ground on its Hudson Oaks restaurant on Oct. 12 as the chain continues to grow in the Dallas-Forth Worth market.
Chick-fil-A corporate representatives will join community leaders at the site of the chain?s Hudson Oaks location at 98 Hudson Oaks Dr. at 9 a.m., Oct. 12. This private event will include details about the new location and future hiring opportunities.
Projected to open in the first quarter of 2018, the new 4,998-square-foot Hudson Oaks restaurant will offer indoor and outdoor dining as well as a playground for children. The interior will feature the chain?s heritage restaurant interior design that showcases handmade, authentic materials for a vintage-inspired interior, including a large gathering table made from reclaimed wood, subway tiles, and a light fixture made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles.
Two drive-thru ordering lanes will enhance the chain?s award-winning drive-thru service. When it opens, the location is expected to create 80 new jobs.
Philip Smith has been named franchise owner of the new restaurant. Smith?s desire to become an Chick-fil-A Operator began years ago. In 2002, he was introduced to the company by his sister at the age of 14 when she asked him to come and work one Saturday. Smith joined the team and has never looked back. Smith, a recipient of a Chick-fil-A Leadership Scholarship, is a graduate from Baylor University with a degree in marketing. His love for the brand and desire to make a difference in his community fueled his yearning to continue his Chick-fil-A journey. In 2013, he was his hard work and dedication to the brand paid dividends when he was awarded with the Weatherford location in 2013.
From among the 27,000 applicants Chick-fil-A receives each year for about 100 locations, Smith was selected as the Operator of the new Hudson Oaks location. He will also continue to operate the Weatherford restaurant. He is thrilled to continue the chain?s legacy of award-winning customer service and handcrafted menu items to a city he and his family loves.
