4th Annual Nonprofit Showcase East Parker County Chamber of Commerce's Women Business Alliance (WBA) is hosting the Fourth Annual Nonprofit Showcase on July 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at New River Fellowship located at 3253 East I-20 South Service Road, Hudson Oaks. In today's economic climate, nonprofits have to be very resourceful, they have a long track record of balancing finite budgets, attracting volunteers, empowering staff as well as inspiring public passion for their organization. The WBA hopes to shine a light on the needs of Parker County nonprofits. The luncheon will host a few of the local nonprofits and charities: Aledo ISD Community Partners, Aledo Children's Advocats, Alzheimer's Association, Camp Fire First Texas, Careity Foundation, CASA, Center of Hope, Freedom House, Grace House, Lena Pope Home, Parker County Gold Star Families, Parker Paws, Ride for Heroes, Senior Center, Trinity Christian Academy, Trinity Habitat of Parker County, United Way of Parker County and Zonta Club of Parker County. Lunch will be catered by Baker's Ribs, the menu includes smoked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and peach cobbler.
