East Parker County Chamber of Commerce will host guest speaker, Tim Fleet, at the December 9 monthly luncheon to be held at New River Fellowship, 3252 E. I-20 Service Road South from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fleet of Lackland Holdings plans to develop 737 acres north of I-20 on FM 3325, west of the Walsh Ranch. The master-planned community will include 2,117 single-family homes from 1,800 square feet to 4,000 square feet, ranging in price from $250,000 to $400,000; adding over 800 million dollars to the tax base. The development will be known as Morningstar and include 100 acres of parkland, hike and bike trails along Mary’s Creek, which runs through the property, four lakes connected with cascading waterfalls, and an impressive amenities center. The Aledo school district owns about 100 acres adjacent to the property for a planned second high school, and Weatherford College owns 30 acres next to the development with approximately 35 acres set aside for an elementary school, if needed.
Trinity Christian Academy Middle School Choir will be on hand to sing a few Christmas Carols.
Catering the event will be Aaron's Catering
