Parker County resident Barbara L. Harty will share her expertise in Alzheimer’s disease and describe promising new research.
Ms. Harty is a lead coordinator for research studies involving aging, including Alzheimer’s, in the Geriatric Division at UNT Health Science Center.
She has been a registered nurse for the last 25 years. Her practice consists of long-term care where she attends to about 100 patients a month in nursing and assisted-living facilities.
Ms. Harty is a veteran of the U.S. Army Medical Corps, a horsewoman, and the Honorary Chair of the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Weatherford.
