This year’s featured entertainment will again include Buffalo Bill’s Cowboy Band, a 28-piece band period-specific to when Buffalo Bill came through Weatherford, and the famed Legends of Texas: the comedy gunfight act and prized entertainers of the Fort Worth Stockyards. Other entertainment includes the Buttermilk Junction Band and the local Klassy Kloggers, in addition to a Chuck Wagon display and Hawk Demonstrations – Native American living history acts including tomahawk throwing and yarn spinning. Kids can participate in a costume contest, stick horse races and a downtown trick-or-treat and Parker County has once again been gracious enough to offer a FREE tour of the historic Parker County Courthouse at 10:00am. Additional entertainment slated for October 12 includes the legendary Connie Smith at the Texas Opry Theater.
“This event is a great mix of entertainment for all ages, unique and timeless vendors and living history,” said Kim Thieme, City of Weatherford Special Event Coordinator. “Couple that with the ambiance of our treasured Downtown, and you get a great event that is sure to grow bigger and better each year.” More details on the entertainment and activity schedule will be released over the next couple of weeks.
