The annual Caregiver Seminar is one way the Alzheimer's Association helps both family and professional caregivers better understand the characteristics of dementia and how to care for the people who have it. Each year, the Alzheimer's Association schedules experts to speak about topics pertaining to dementia care. There are two separate tracks in the morning: one for healthcare professionals, who may earn continuing education credits, and another for family caregivers to help them gain insight into caring for a loved one with dementia. In addition to the sessions, attendees will have an opportunity to speak with knowledgeable individuals representing a wide array of dementia care businesses and services. Lunch will be served.
