DESCRIPTION:For its 10th edition\, Taste of Parker County will take place at a new location this year. In partnership with the City of Weatherford\, the Weatherford College Foundation will host the food-tasting event at Heritage Park on Thursday\, May 17\, from 5 to 8 p.m.\n\n"We're looking forward to partnering with the City of Weatherford to bring this fun event to the middle of town\," said Bob Glenn\, WC Foundation president. "The city has done a great job renovating and developing Heritage Park\, and we think this will give us room to expand the event."\n\nAll proceeds from Taste of Parker County benefit the Weatherford College Foundation which funds scholarships and provides other support for the college and its students.\n\n"This is one of my favorite events of the year\," Glenn said. "Everyone has a great time\, and we can all feel good about helping students achieve their dreams. Our foundation board is very proud of our college and happy to help these students succeed."\n\nPatrons will enjoy sample-sized tastings from a variety of local restaurants and caterers as well as tastings from breweries.\n\nConfirmed vendors for this year's event as of press time are: 2 Outlaws BBQ\, Back Home Bakery\, Ben E. Keith Beverages\, Boo-Rays of New Orleans\, Buffalo Wild Wings\, Chick-fil-A\, Chicken Express\, Comfort Kitchens To-Go\, Drake's Yoke - Wood & Wine\, Firehouse Subs\, Golden Moon\, Honey Bee Ham\, Parker County Brewing Company\, Rahr & Sons Brewing Company\, Shep's Place\, Starbucks\, The Pizza Place\, Weatherford College Food Service\, White Beard's BBQ\, Wild Acre Brewing Company and Yesterdays Sandwich Shop. Additional vendors are expected to be added for the event as well.\n\nEntertainment for the evening will be provided by the WC Jazz Band and WC Studio Band.\n\nThe event is made possible by the support of the following sponsors: Southwest Auto Group\, Mike's Westside Rental\, Texas Neighborhood Care and Wellness Willow Park\, First National Bank and Plains Capital Bank.
