DESCRIPTION:Workforce Solutions Building a Better and Smarter Workforce\n\nEast Parker County Chamber of Commerce will host a Lunch & Learn on June 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Squaw Creek Golf Course Clubhouse\, 1605 Ranch House Road\, Willow Park. Guest speakers will be Adam Kern and Lewis Wells with Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas. \n\nThe Lunch & Learn is designed to bring employers together with Workforce Solutions\, to assist businesses in recruiting a skilled workforce\, supply companies with an internet based job matching system\, and advise businesses on current economic and labor market data and trends. Workforce Solutions provides placement services at no cost. The Skills Development Fund provides grants for customized training programs and funds the training programs customized to meet the needs of business partners. Other services offered by Workforce Solutions are employee screening\, on-the-job training\, outplacement services\, veterans programs\, tax and labor law information\, hiring events and job fairs   on location or at the Workforce center.\n\nThe mission of Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas is to advance an innovative workforce system\, which fosters a competitive economy and improves the quality of life in North Central Texas through employment\, education\, training\, and economic development. \n\nAdam Kern serves as the Business Development Liaison for the North Central Texas Workforce Development Board representing Parker\, Palo {into\, Erath\, Hood and Somerville Counties. Adam holds a degree in Business Management\, he is dedicated in assisting the businesses of Parker County not only hire the right workforce\, but equip them with the skills to be the best.\n\nLewis Wells is the Business Solutions Consultant for the Workforce Solutions Center located in Weatherford and serving both Parker and Palo Pinto Counties. After honorably serving 24 years in the United States Air Force\, Lewis has since earned a Masters in Theological Studies and an MBA in Human Resources. He is currently completing his Doctorate from the University of North Texas where he has also served as Adjunct Professor for the Department of Learning Technology. Lewis brings a great combination of an extensive background in all things HR\, with a truly genuine passion for helping the communities he serves.\n\nMembers as well as Non-Members are welcome.
