DESCRIPTION:"Faith & Sports" event planned at TBC\n\n \n\n          Athletes and parents are invited to a unique workshop designed to equip families to live out their faith in athletics. "Faith & Sports: Living Your Faith in Competitive Sports" is scheduled for Wednesday\, May 4th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Trinity Bible Church in Willow Park.\n\n          The free event will include a question-and-answer panel made up of former collegiate athletes\, athletic administrators and others.  \n\n          "One of the greatest opportunities we have today is living out our faith in athletics\," said Dr. Eric Kuykendall\, TBC Family Pastor. "At Trinity Bible Church\, we want to equip parents and athletes by offering a workshop centered around faith and sports."\n\n          Panelists will include Josh Harbuck\, former TCU offensive lineman\; Matt Garnett\, men's basketball associate head coach at Texas Wesleyan University\; Geoff Hetherington\, president of Weatherford Little League\; former Oklahoma Baptist University softball player Caitlin Carpenter\; Fort Worth Fire Volleyball Club owners Jeff and Stephanie Kalbfleisch and others. Brent Baker from Weatherford College and 89.5 Chuck FM Radio will moderate the panel.\n\n"This will be a great night for parents and athletes to gain practical advice from Christian leaders in the sports community\," Kuykendall said. "We encourage you to join us to learn how to be intentional with your faith on the court\, on the field\, and in the stands." \n\nThe event is part of TBC's May Milestone Series\, which also includes a Faith & Purity Workshop on Wednesday\, May 11th for parents of children and teenagers led by Dr. Johnny Derouen\, Professor of Student Ministry and Chair of the Human Growth and Development Division at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.\n\nFor more information on the May Milestone Series or to register for the event\, go to www.trinitybible.com.
