DESCRIPTION:The Hemispherectomy Foundation's annual Dreams on Wings 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will be held Saturday\, May 18\, 2013. The race begins and ends at Parker County Physical Therapy in Weatherford\, TX. \nThe Dreams on Wings 5K is an out and back course with a mix of small hills and flat. This course provides a nice challenge for seasoned runners and is interesting for the novice. Free parking is available.\n\nThe Hemispherectomy Foundation supports children who have undergone a hemispherectomy due to intractable seizures. Epilepsy affects over 3 million people in the United States\; 50 million world-wide. The Hemi Foundation supports the worst of the worst of these cases- children\, whose only hope is this radical brain surgery.
